October 20, 2023

Three men who were arrested and charged for allegedly shooting at and injuring a policeman will have their matters heard before the gun court on November 10.

The decision was made, and the men remanded, when they appeared before the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday.

The accused, Kevin Morgan, Denardo James, and Andrew Reid, have all been charged with shooting with intent.

It is reported that about 11:00 p.m. on October 7, the policeman went into Central Village on personal business when he was attacked by the accused who allegedly fired several shots at him.

The lawman was reportedly shot in the back.

He was rescued and taken to the Spanish Town Hospital by his colleagues from the Central Village Police Station.

The trio was later arrested and charged following police investigations.
