Clarendon biker held with firearm

The May Pen Police say they have arrested and charged 57-year-old Alphanso Campbell, who was found with an illegal firearm and ammunition during an operation on Saturday. 

He was charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition and possession of prohibited weapon.

It is reported that about 12:45 p.m., a group of lawmen were conducting an operation when they signalled a motorcyclist to stop.

He complied and a bulge in his waist aroused the police’s suspicion.

A search was conducted and a .38 Revolver loaded with two live .38 cartridges was recovered.

His court date is being finalised.
