Woman visiting from England shot, injured in Homestead

The St Catherine North Police have launched an investigation into a shooting that left a woman visiting from England injured. 

The incident reportedly happened about 9:00 p.m. on Thursday while the victim was on Mansfield Avenue in the community.

It is further reported that it was residents of the community who found the injured woman after investigating what sounded like explosions. She was taken to hospital for treatment. 

No motive has been established.
