Major fire at Forum Fishing Village

Several shops at the Forum Fishing Village in Portmore, St Catherine were destroyed by a fire on Tuesday morning. 

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, by early reports suggest that five shops have been affected. 

"A di grace of Father God mek me never sleep inna me shop last night," said bar operator, Tanisha Scotland who said she left the area around 2:00 a.m. 

Vendors in the area faced a similar incident last year April, when about 12 shops were destroyed in a fire of unknown origin. It was estimated that millions of dollars were lost.
