Man shot dead in Mt Salem following end of curfew

A 34-year-old man was shot and killed in Mt Salem, St James on Tuesday morning - approximately 48 hours after a curfew in the area ended. 

Over the last two weeks, three residents have been shot, forcing the police to implement restriction of movements in and out of the community.

This morning's shooting occurred at about 9:00 a.m.

The deceased was reportedly transporting sand in a barrow near his home when he was shot. He was employed to one of the popular restaurants and entertainment centre in Montego Bay.
