Truck driver charged for stealing his company’s point-of-sale machine

A Spanish Town, St Catherine truck driver accused of running off with his company’s point-of-sale machine has been charged by the police with simple larceny.

He is 32-year-old Richard Davis of Mahogany Close.

He was charged on Monday after a question and answer in the presence of his attorney.

A court date is being finalised.

The police report that about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, Davis signed for a point-of-sale machine, valued at $1,200,000, to carry out his duties.

Davis resigned days after and made no attempt to return the machine.

A report was made and the police launched an investigation.

Davis was later arrested and charged.
