15-y-o murder victim identified

In a devastating incident that caused weeping at the Kingston Public Hospital, a 15-year-old student of Holy Trinity High School, Maurice Morgan, succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained in a brazen attack at a complex along Wild Street, along Windward Road, east Kingston.

Two other individuals, Savena Clarke, 23, and Troy Dennis, 20, also lost their lives in the attack. Another 15-year-old male is currently hospitalised. STAR sources indicate that his condition, while serious, is not deemed critical.

Alleged eyewitnesses to the harrowing event recount a chilling scene as a Toyota Mark X motor vehicle drove on to Wild Street. The occupants swiftly disembarked and unleashed a barrage of gunfire upon their unsuspecting targets.

Speaking to THE STAR, one resident shared his shock and horror at the unfolding tragedy.

"When mi hear di shot dem mi say somebody haffi dead," the resident remarked. "A big gun dem did have."

The news team tried unsuccessfully to get a comment from Superintendent Tommie-Lee Chambers, head of the East Kingston Police Division.
