Main suspect in MoBay triple murder turns in himself

The main suspect in a triple murder along King Street in St James on Tuesday has turned himself in to the police.

The suspect, 32-year-old John Roach was named as a person of interest in the investigations on Wednesday.

The victims of the attack have been identified as 62-year-old fisherman David West, 26-year-old Rashaun Williams and 17-year-old student Jaydon Bennett, all of Upper King Street addresses in St. James.

About 5:05 p.m., the police received reports of a shooting in the area and responded. On arrival on the scene, they reportedly came under gunfire.

When the shooting subsided, the police team searched the area and the three men were found in different sections of the community with gunshot wounds.

They were transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

“The St James police officers after the operation where two firearms were recovered [a illegal pistol and a shotgun] relentlessly pursued the suspect,” head of the St James Police, Superintendent Eron Samuels explained.

The police have subsequently named a second suspect, Kasheem ‘Borderline’ Lewis and have asked him to turn himself in.
