Alleged burglar shot in leg by security guard in Manchester
A 38-year-old landscaper was left with a gunshot wound to his leg and was arrested after an alleged failed burglary attempt last Wednesday in Manchester.
The police say Davian Daley, otherwise called ‘By Day’ or ‘Davy', from Kingsland district, is charged with burglary, malicious destruction of property and assault.
They say about 3:15 a.m, an alert was made when Daley and an accomplice allegedly attempted to enter the home of someone in the area.
They were confronted by two security guards and one of the burglars reportedly pointed an object at the guards.
In fear for their lives, one of the security guards reportedly discharged his firearm on the men who ran.
Daley was subsequently apprehended and interrogated, and was found to have sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.
His court date is being finalised.
