Man fatally shot in Mount Salem, St James

A man is dead following a shooting incident on Barnett Street in Montego Bay, St James, yesterday.

He is 28-year-old Iky-Taul Wynter, otherwise called ‘Nathaniel’, a labourer of Kayton Lane, Mount Salem, St James.

Reports are that about 5:05 p.m., Wynter was in a motor vehicle when someone allegedly approached him, pulled a gun and opened fire. 

When the police arrived, Wynter was seen lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

He was assisted to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police are still investigating the matter.
