Man dies after being hacked to death in Linstead

A search is now on for a suspect who allegedly chopped a 55-year-old man to death in Linstead, St Catherine last night.

The deceased has been identified as Vinton Anderson, a labourer from Lemonridge district, Banbury.

Reports are that about 7:20, Anderson was in a yard when he was attacked by a man who used a machete to hack him repeatedly on the back of his head.

The attacker then fled the scene while Anderson was bleeding profusely.

Anderson succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the Linstead Hospital.
