Three men who attacked another with machetes and hammer remanded
Three men were remanded in the St Catherine Parish Court today in connection with an attack on another man.
Kenardo Ferguson, Selvyn Ferguson and Marvin Miller are charged with unlawful wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Parish Court Judge Janelle Nelson-Gayle stated that the act was premeditated, adding that the injuries of the complainant are very serious and that the complainant was threatened in presence of the police.
The court heard that the complainant was attacked with machetes and a hammer.
It was also indicated that the medical certificate is outstanding.
The men, who are being represented by attorney Delpharine Golding-Gentles, were ordered to return to court on November 22.
Allegations are that September 7, the mother of the complainant's child had a verbal altercation with the men when he intervened.
While doing so, the complainant's slippers touched one of the accused.
He was subsequently attacked by all three men who severely beat him.
The injured man was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was admitted.
On September 19, he pointed out the accused to the police.
They were arrested and subsequently charged.
