St Catherine man succumbs to gunshot wounds after two days

Twenty-seven-year-old Ajay Lee Bromfield who was shot by unknown assailants in Spanish Town, St Catherine, two days ago has died.

Police reported that about 11: 25 p.m. on Sunday, explosions were heard in the West End community of Gordon Pen.

Checks revealed that a black Infiniti Q50 motor car had crashed into a fence and Bromfield was seen in a pool of blood on the ground. Further examination showed that he suffered what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to the face and back.

He was admitted to the Spanish Town Hospital and died around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. 

No motive has been established in the 27 year old's death.

The Spanish Town Criminal Investigations Branch is probing the incident.
