Residents block roads to Adelphi, St James over poor road conditions

Residents of several communities in St James East Central this morning blocked sections of the roadway to protest over longstanding poor road conditions in Adelphi and surrounding areas.

From as early as 6:00 am, residents blocked sections of Content, Paisley, Dumfries, and Porto Bello with fallen trees and other debris.

They are claiming that their pleas for better roads in the constituency have fallen on deaf ears over the years, and have accused the Member of Parliament, Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett, of ignoring them.
