St Andrew police arrest man with alleged illegal firearm

The St Andrew police currently have in custody a man who they say possessed an illegal firearm which they seized while patrolling the Canary Avenue area on Thursday.

The Hunts Bay police report that about 10:30 p.m., the lawmen observed a man running on to a premises.

The cops pursued the man and accosted him.

During the apprehension a firearm was observed at the man’s foot and was seized.

The man was taken into custody.

His identity is being withheld pending further information.
