June 17, 2025

In today's St Catherine Parish Court hearing, three St Catherine men accused of lottery scamming were granted $200,000 bail each with a surety.

Akeem Haye, Tashon Sterling and Steve Wilson are accused of violating the Law Reform Fraudulent Transaction statute.

Acting Senior Parish Court Judge Janelle Nelson-Gayle granted the bail with the conditions that the accused report twice weekly to the police, surrender travel documents and provide a fingerprint order.

The men are represented by Attorneys-at-Law Carole Hay and Donahue Martin.

Allegations outlined in court are that about 4:45 a.m. on June 7, the police conducted an operation in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

The men were held and reportedly handed over their cellular phones and passwords to the police.

The police allegedly found multiple lead sheets containing the names, addresses, and identification of people residing abroad when they searched the phones.
