47-y-o man caught on camera allegedly stealing cash and booze in Manchester

A series of break-ins in Newport, Manchester, came to an end when 47-year-old Orthneil Blake, a labourer, was caught on Close Circuit Television (CCTV) allegedly ransacking multiple business establishments.

Blake has been charged with three counts of housebreaking and larceny after reportedly stealing cash, alcohol, and other items from two businesses on Wednesday, August 20. Police say the stolen goods were taken after the buildings were securely locked.

Allegedly captured in the act on surveillance cameras, Blake was arrested on Wednesday, January 7, at the Alligator Pond Police Station and later charged following a caution statement in the presence of two Justices of the Peace.

His court date is being finalised, as investigators continue to piece together the full scope of his alleged crimes.
