Woman accused of the brutal murder of Parliamentarian Phillip Paulwell's infant daughter and her mother appeared in court Tuesday, not as an accused but as a complainant, claiming she was attacked while in lock-up.

Leoda Bradshaw, a former United States Navy culinary specialist, appeared before St Catherine Parish Court Judge Venise Blackstock-Murray after reporting that she was physically assaulted while in custody at the Bridgeport lock-up in Portmore.

Reports are that Bradshaw was attacked by a female inmate, at the facility where she is being held.

When the matter was mentioned, it was postponed as there were no legal representatives present. The case is to return to court on January 23.

Bradshaw remains in custody in connection with the murder of Toshyna Patterson and her 10-month-old daughter Sarayah Paulwell.
