An angry shove of a door during a family dispute in Red Hills, St Andrew has left a man facing charges of unlawful wounding, while a woman who stood too close suffered a head injury.

Shavaun Wallace, 37, a bus operator of Burnside Valley in the area, allegedly pushed the door in frustration on Monday, January 12, striking a female relative who was walking too close behind him. The impact caused a wound to her face that bled.

Reports from the Red Hills Police indicate that the incident occurred around 7:12 p.m., following a heated discussion between Wallace and the woman.

The matter was reported to the police, and Wallace was subsequently charged on Tuesday, January 13, with unlawful wounding.

He is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, February 26.
