Williams-Mills ‘Twinning’
In beaming photos posted on her social media, Jamaican 400-metre athlete Novlene Williams-Mills and her husband Jameel Mills announced they were pregnant with twins.
Not giving too much away, Williams-Mills says she will be giving an update soon on the due date, but she told STAR Sports that it could be sooner than we think.
The three-time Olympic bronze medallist, speaking from her home in Orlando, says she is overjoyed at her latest accomplishment.
"Following my diagnosis and battle with breast cancer back in 2012, I was a bit worried about having children due to the health risk but I am happy that God has blessed me and I am looking forward to this different chapter in my life", said Williams-Mills.
Williams-Mills has since received countless amounts of congratulatory messages on her Instagram account including American sprinter Justin Gatlin who sent loving hearts to the Jamaican quarter-miler.
Williams-Mills who retired from the sport after her last Olympics back in 2016, says she will be embracing the challenge of being a mom and keeping tabs on the future athletes who will be flying the Jamaican flag high.
"I still enjoy watching track and field and I believe we have some good talent out there who will continue to do great things for Jamaica," added Williams-Mills.
