MOJITO attacked stablemate BURLAP and the filly MAMMA MIA a half-mile out to take control of yesterday's Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes, scoring a comfortable three-length win with Dane Dawkins for trainer Richard Azan.

Administered lasix, plus reporting fitted with blinkers and tongue tie, which he wore when getting off the mark on his third start, MOJITO proved a cut above MAMMA MIA against whom he had lost back-to-back races.

MOJITO's half-mile kick in splits of 46.4, quickening into 1:11.2 off the home turn, left rivals struggling in his wake.

The Savoy Stomp-Fiftyshadesofgray colt stopped the clock in 1:41.1, leaving LEGIT BOSS and MAMMA MIA in a dead-heat for second.

Azan closed the late double with PERFECT BREW, who scored a runaway victory at six and a half furlongs among non-restricted overnight allowance company to bring the curtains down on the nine-race card.

Dawkins rode two winners on the programme, stretching his lead to four over Anthony Thomas, leaving the defending champion with a mountain to climb on Saturday's last meet of the season.
