Roman the rider to watch on Saturday

AS Raddesh Roman continues to challenge Tevin Foster atop the jockeys' standings, heading into Saturday's meet seven behind his rival, expect both riders to maintain their dominance of the winners' enclosure.

Roman is aboard two Reggae 6 bankers on Saturday, the first being VOLATILITY in the fourth, ironically named for Foster on Jockeys' Guild Day. Roman will also be terribly hard to beat astride speedy PRINCESS IFIYAH in the sixth, named in honour of the late Al Gopie.

Course-specialist VOLATILITY races on a giveaway $750,000 claim tag, the four-year-old filly's last run being third behind TAURUS BOY and KP CHOICE at the trip in overnight-allowance company on April 14.

Though reporting off a three-month lay-up, VOLATILITY's raw speed should take home the Hedge Fund-Fashionista speedster at her favourite trip.

Roman enjoys swinging on the lead aboard speed horses, which is exactly what PRINCESS IFIYAH presents in the sixth among four-year-old maidens at five furlongs straight.

A Buzz Nightmare filly, PRINCESS IFIYAH exhibited her sire's speed when fitted with a figure eight on June 22, blazing four lengths clear at the half-mile before MANNY SLAM reeled her in a furlong out going five on the round course.

Keep an eye on horses who could turn around their form after running too bad to be true on last or simply lurking in the shadows. SHE'S MYHEDGEFUND is not to be left off bets in the first. PRETTY CAROLINE is not to be underestimated with Foster in the seventh for the Jockeys' Guild Trophy.
