Clayton dominates as Jamaican duo advance in Olympic 400m hurdles
It was a massive statement of intent from national champion Rushell Clayton as she dismissed the field in her semi-final of the women’s 400-metre hurdles in the Paris Olympics.
She completed the race in 43.00 seconds to book her place in the final.
Shiann Salmon also booked her spot in the final as she registered a massive personal best to place third in 53.13. She finished behind Dutch sensation Femke Bol who ran an easy 52.57.
Janieve Russell, however, will not advance as her time of 54.65 was outside the top eight and brings an end to her 2024 Olympic campaign.
