KC are Manning Cup champions
Kingston College (KC) are the 2024 ISSA Manning Cup champions as they turned back St Catherine High, who made their first-ever final appearance, 3-1 at the National Stadium.
The schoolboy football giants of North Street opened the scoring through the youngest player on the field, Jaeshawn Edwards, before Demario Daley and Deshawn Byfield added to the tally for the champions.
Byfield would, however, close out his night’s proceedings with an own goal in the second half which sparked some life to the St Catherine hopefuls.
KC have now won their 17th Manning Cup title as the school now looks forward to their 100th year anniversary celebration set to kick start in April next year.
Earlier in the afternoon, Mona High added to their growing repertoire with their first ISSA Walker Cup title, downing Excelsior 4-1.
