When Grand Slam Track's series continue this month, it will be a clash of three champions as the United States' Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, winner in Kingston and Miami, steps down to clash with Jamaicans Ackera Nugent and returning challenger Danielle Williams in the women's short hurdles.

The third meet in the series, to be held at Franklin Field Stadium in Philadelphia, will take place over two days -- May 31 and June 1 -- an adjustment from the previous format where the first two Slams were held over three days.

Founder and Commissioner of Grand Slam Track, Michael Johnson, explained the reason for the change in schedule.

"We've said all along we want to listen to our fans, athletes, and coaches, and having received feedback from various stakeholders, we've made the decision to condense our schedule in Philadelphia into two high-octane, intense days of competition," Johnson said.

"We want to be the most reliable, adaptive, and fan-first league in sports, and making these changes will improve the Grand Slam experience for everyone," Johnson added.

With wins in Kingston and Miami in the women's long hurdles, McLaughlin-Levrone will make her professional 100m hurdles debut and will be hoping to continue her winning streak and put the brakes on the two Jamaicans in what is expected to be a mouth-watering clash.

Another exciting contest will feature the American pair of Gabby Thomas and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden in the women's short sprint, as Jefferson-Wooden goes for her third straight win.
