My 60-y-o husband is not 'standing' up strong

Dear Pastor,

I am 51 years old and I have married for 10 years. My husband is 60. He has a weakness in his penis. It is not standing up strong. When I met him and we got married, he was like a star in bed. He did not even want me to sleep in underwear, but now, he is so slow. I have to be "babying" down there to get some life. I do not intent to cheat on my husband. He went to the doctor and the doctor gave him some tablets, but they are not working. He is a good man. I could find another man, but I will not disrespect my husband. My children love him. Please for your advice.

Dear T.P.,

I am glad to hear that you have decided not to be unfaithful to your husband. If he is suffering from erectile dysfunction, that is something for which he can receive help. I would suggest therefore that your husband should ask his doctor to refer him to a urologist. The urologist would explain to him what is the problem and try to help him. Continue to encourage your husband all the way. He is not an old man. He can bounce back, so to speak.
