Prison inmate seeking a companion
Dear pastor,
Please accept my greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. I have been reading and enjoying your articles for many years. I left Jamaica in the year 2000, and even though I live in Florida, I buy THE STAR just to read 'Tell Me Pastor'. The main reason why I love your column is because you are honest in giving your advice.
As you can see from my postal address, I am currently in prison and although I am here, I still find a way to have THE STAR sent to me just to read 'Tell Me Pastor'. Please continue your good work.
Now, my main reason for writing to you is to see if there are any nice females in Jamaica who would be interested in a social relationship that would probably become intimate. I was married to a woman from Jamaica who lied on me and sent me to prison, just because she wanted to take my retirement fund.
I would not let that happen, so she planned with her cousin and sent me to prison for seven years. And even while I am in prison, she tried to get all my money, which is a lot - I had my money long before I met her. She also tried to get all my properties in Jamaica but, thank God, I stayed in prison and divorced her. I still give her money, so all of us can be happy.
I appealed my case and I should be out by the end of this year on appeal. So I am trying to see if there are any females between the age of 45 and 52 who are interested in a social relationship for now. I am 50 years old, not rich but financially stable.
NURSE
I was a nurse but I would not have any need to work when I get out. I would prefer a Christian who has grown children and some small grandchildren or a grandchild. I love children with a special love. I have three grown children, one is a police officer in Jamaica and the other two are here.
I know you may not be able to write me back because I can't send stamps from here to be returned to me. But I am asking you to publish my letter. If there is anyone who is interested in a long distance, social relationship they can contact me. Thank you in advance for your understanding. May God bless you as you continue to help the helpless.
O.M.
Dear O.M.,
You have alleged that your former wife has caused you to be in prison. I wish I could hear her side of the story. Anyway, I am glad that you would be out very soon. You say that you have a daughter who is a police officer here in Jamaica. I suggest that you contact her and tell her that you are seeking a wife and she should help you to find one. She would be able to interview these women and to advice you accordingly. You give the impression that you are a wealthy man, so you should not have any difficulty in maintain a wife. I wish you well. In the meantime, if any woman shows interest in you, I will let you know.
Pastor
