My teenage daughters won't listen
Dear Pastor,
I do not know where to start but I am having a problem. I have two teenage daughters and they are not listening to me. When I try to talk to them, they hiss their teeth, and call me old.
Their father is not living with us. He comes to see them sometimes. When I ask him to talk to them, he says I must leave them alone because they are young people. The younger one is only 17, but she is having sex with a big man in the community. I told her that she should stop seeing this man, but she is not listening to me. And her sister is covering for her because when he gives her money, her sister gets some of it.
I found a letter in her jeans pocket that she wrote telling the man that everything is alright, her period came. When she came home, I told her that I saw the letter. She cursed me and told me the letter was not addressed to me and "is fass a fass, why I read it." I showed the letter to her father and until now he hasn't talk to her about it. If she gets pregnant, this man will have to take her out my house, and he cannot take her to his house because he is living with a woman.
F.P.
Dear F.P.,
I am sure you would want your daughters to grow up and practise good morals. Men are always going to admire them, you cannot stop that. It is likely that they are going to have their boyfriends, that you can't stop either.
I believe that things would have been so much better if they had a stern father.
I can only encourage you to be a good mother. Perhaps a word to the man who is having sex with your daughter may help.
Pastor
