Another man got my wife pregnant
Dear Pastor,
I am living in America, but I was born in Jamaica. I read THE STAR every week. Please keep up your good work. I am married, but because I am in prison I am separated from my wife. I have not seen her for three months, but she has called me to tell me that she is pregnant. We have a child together. I have two accounts. Her name is in one. She has pulled out all the money in that account. When I asked why she took all the money, she said that the man who got her pregnant got into trouble so she used the money to help him.
I asked her why she did not have an abortion when she found out that she was pregnant. She said the man needs the child and she does not love me as before. My wife grew up in a Christian home. Her father is a deacon. She was a virgin when I met her, so she has backslided. She did not drink, but now she drinks hard liquor and she is smoking. I am an occasional drinker and I do not smoke. I want to know if I can sue this man for getting my wife pregnant. I understand that that can be done. Bless you, pastor.
C.M.
Dear C.M.,
You are wasting your time
believing that you can sue another man for having sex with your wife and impregnating her.
She has behaved as a fool by
taking your money to help another man. Don't allow what she has done to get you down. You will soon be free. I hope that she is
taking good care of the child that both of you have from the union. Ask your relatives to check on that child as often as possible and to find out what are his needs.
I hope that your wife is working. If she isn't, she should seek a job although she is pregnant. I wish you the very best and I hope to hear from you again.
Pastor
