I'm in love with a much older woman

Dear Pastor,

I am in a relationship with a 36-year-old woman. I am 20 years old. We are happy together. We have been together for two years and we go out and have fun. We cook together, laugh together, sleep together and we talk every single day, no matter what. We argue, but we solve our issues in a mature manner. To cut a long story short, although we have introduced each other to our friends and have taken each other home, we both don't want our siblings to know about our relationship. I work and live by myself. I would appreciate your insight.

Dear K,

You have not said why you do not want your siblings to know that this woman and you are lovers. I am assuming that it is because she is much older than you and you feel that they would discourage you from continuing to have an intimate relationship with her. And her relatives would tell her that she is having a relationship with her son. They might call her also a 'cougar'. If both of you are determined to continue to be lovers, I would suggest that both of you go to see a family counsellor. This woman is indeed your senior by far, and you need to be warned that she might be very jealous if you associate yourself with younger women as the years go by.
