My man is stressing me

Dear Pastor,

I am living with a man for more than eight years. I love him, but it seems as if I love him more than myself. He acts as if he doesn't care. I am really stressed out.

Dear S.W.,

You are the most important person in the whole world.

Yes, I know that God is your Creator and you need to worship him. He should be first, because he is God. But apart from God, you are the most important.

Therefore, you should not love anybody more than yourself. Love yourself more than you love your man. I am not saying, however, that you should not try to please him; but if he is not reciprocating, you should ignore him and take care of yourself.
