Worried I might be pregnant

Dear Pastor

I am 18 years old and I can't stop crying. I went to see my boyfriend. I was not prepared to have sex with him on that day because my period had just come to an end; it had not totally stopped.

My boyfriend was eager to see me because we had not seen each other in two weeks. He was sitting on his chair and as soon as I put down my bag and went into the bathroom and came out, he grabbed me and started to kiss me all over. I enjoyed his kissing.

He zipped his pants down and pulled my blouse open. I kept saying no, and he kept saying 'yes, I need you'. I did not resist. He did not put on a condom.

He had sex with me for over 15 minutes. I was on top of him. When he released me, I started to cry. We went into the bathroom and showered together and he put me to bed and I slept for two hours.

When I woke up, he had cooked and we ate, and he called a taxi to take me home. I am crying because I don't know if he got me pregnant. I don't know what I would do with myself if I got pregnant.

Dear D.S.,

When a young girl is going to her lover's house, she should go prepared for anything. Her boyfriend might not have a condom, so she should have it.

I don't want to give anybody the impression that a guy has the right to demand sex from his girlfriend. I am only saying that it is only better to be safe than sorry.

When your boyfriend held you, he should have accepted that you were not prepared to have sex with him. I hope all is well with you.
