Good food and good love-making keeps us going

Dear Pastor,

I am a regular reader of your column. It is so interesting. I have learned a lot, and I tell people they should listen to you on the radio, too. My husband likes to listen to you. He can stay up longer than I can and he is retired, so he doesn't have to get up early. I still have to go to work, so it is not all the time I am able to stay up late.

I am 60 years old and my husband is an active 70 years old. He said that he has a long time to go. Every week, especially on weekends, I have to give him Irish moss, peanut punch and other powerful drinks. He is very strong.

We have been married for nearly 40 years. My son, who is not his child, asked him one day what has kept us together for so long and he said it is good food and good lovemaking. My husband added one other thing - and that was staying out of debt. My husband does not believe in crediting anything that he can't pay for.

Pastor, please keep up the good work.

C.S.

It is always good hearing from couples who are enjoying marriage life. I thank you for sharing with the readers how your husband and you have operated, and I wish both of you long life.
