Am I a hermaphrodite?

Dear Pastor,

I just turned 32 this November and as a man, I am confused about the problem I have. About 16 years ago, I noticed that I have a small piece of skin that hangs from the rim of my rectum and it bleeds once a month for about four to five days, and then it stops. Does this problem that I am having means that I am a hermaphrodite? I would really like to know what is this extra skin and why does it bleed.

I do not wish to mislead you, but I could understand your concerns. What I am urging you to do is to attend the office of a doctor for advice and attention. You do not need to be ashamed of your condition, or to be afraid to talk to a doctor. He/ she would see you and deal with this matter for you. A doctor is the appropriate person to answer all your questions about your condition.

I think it is regrettable that you have taken so long to enquire about this situation. But I also believe that your parents should have taken this matter in hand when you were a child. So, make an appointment to see a doctor as soon as possible. I would be glad to hear from you again.
