Afraid to lose my man to a Jamaican girl
Dear Pastor,
I have been reading your column for more than five years years. I am married to a Jamaican man. I am 35 years old and I have two boys. These are not my husband's children. My husband is not interested in having children with me. He had one before we got married. He took me to Jamaica with him. I should tell you that I am white. His people treated me as if I were a princess. His parents love me. They are Christian people.
I was jealous when I saw how the women surrounded him, but I did not give them any chance. When it comes to him, I stick by him. So these girls did not have a chance to go anywhere with him. When he is in America, he is too busy working to go out with other women. Why are Jamaican women so aggressive? Is it that Jamaican men are scarce?
The girls in Jamaica are lovely. My husband is muscular. I told him that I will never allow him to visit Jamaica without me, but he takes everything for a joke. You are doing a marvelous job, Pastor. Keep up the good work.
H.P.
Dear H.P.,
You say you are an American and you have found Jamaican women to be very aggressive. They were after your husband. Well, that is how you see our women, but I am glad that you know that you were well treated in Jamaica. You think the women in Jamaica are aggressive because they are seeking men. But the reason why you see it that way is because you are a jealous woman, and you believe that they were after your man.
Whether that be so or not, I would suggest to you that you should be careful not to be overly jealous. You have got a good man. Give him all the support that you can. Love him, respect him and feed him well, because Jamaican men love good food. Stop worrying about him going to other women. You take good care of yourself. Remain attractive, and remember to treat him well. I wish both of you well.
Pastor
