I am about to abort this baby

Dear Pastor,

I'm 22 years old and I am pregnant for my ex-boyfriend, who is now with a woman that he was cheating on me with for more than two years, when we were in a relationship. I love him, but the fact that he keeps cheating on me with the same girl gets me upset and caused me to do crazy stuff.

I'm six weeks pregnant. I've bought abortion pills to take, but I'm afraid. I'm not telling him about the pregnancy because I don't want him back in my life. I need your advice, please.

I hope you have a job. You are going to have to support yourself and the baby. For two years you have known this man, and during that time you were aware that he was cheating. You should not have allowed him to get you pregnant. Now that you are pregnant, you are contemplating doing an abortion.

I can't encourage you to do so. What I can encourage you to do is to throw away the pills and carry your pregnancy.

I am not saying that you should try to get back to him. Evidently, he doesn't care about you. You can insist that he supports his child after you have given birth, and if he fails to support the child, you should take him to court. If you do not want the child, contact the Adoption Board and give up the child for adoption.
