My friend going insane after being left with debt

March 03, 2020

Dear Pastor,

I am writing on behalf of a friend who really needs your help. This young girl had a friend who she trusted, but this trust was abused.

The situation is that they both planned to do a business together. One person approached the bank and got some money to borrow. The money was divided and was to be repaid by both of them. Only one person's name, which is that of my friend, was on the loan form. The other person, after getting her share of the money, moved away. She changed her phone number and disappeared, leaving my friend to repay the loan.

My friend is almost at the point of going insane as she has to be repaying the money, taking care of two small children, paying rent and all the day-to-day expenses.

Pastor, I am reaching out to you in the hope that the woman will somehow hear or read it in THE STAR and have a conscience to contact my friend and make her part of the payment. Some persons are so selfish and cruel, but I know God is in control.

Thank you, Pastor.

M.M.

Dear M.M.,

If your friend is having such a problem, she should try to get help and explain what really happened. You are speaking on her behalf, but I would prefer to hear from her. If she took out a loan from the bank, she is responsible to repay the loan.

As for the private arrangement she might have had with her friend, the bank would not get involved with that.
