Wondering if my son is a ‘jacket’

Dear Pastor

I am with this young woman who is 27 years old and has two children. I am the father of one of the children. He is a boy. I found out from my own digging that she gave her first child to the wrong man. Should I let that bother me, or should I just leave that alone? It is causing me to have doubts about my son's paternity.

If you have questions about paternity, you should discuss it with the mother of your son. And you should suggest to her that you would like a paternity test to be done. She might become very upset with you for doubting her, so you will have to be very cautious on how you handle this matter. On other hand, if she knows that you are the man with whom she was intimate during the time she got pregnant, she might say to you that she willing to do the test so as to put your mind at ease.

It is a terrible thing when a man doubts that he is the biological father of a child. So set your mind at ease and discuss the matter with your child's mother and do the test.
