Think my husband got another woman pregnant
Dear Pastor,
I am 25 and I got married when I was 22. My husband is an American but he comes and goes. He is not living permanently in Jamaica. We agreed that I would join him in a couple of years, but I am very unhappy. My sister, who is a nurse in the USA, told me that she has suspected that my husband has got a woman there pregnant.
This is because she saw him with a pregnant girl a few times and the way they were behaving, they seemed to be lovers. Once they were even holding hands. When she saw them the first time, she called out to him and he was shocked and was cold towards her. So the second time she saw him, she did not make herself visible, but the girl was right up under his arm.
I told my husband that my sister saw him with a young woman and he said yes, he saw her too, but that the young woman was his niece. I asked him what was her name and he tried to switch the conversation. I asked him again but he did not tell me. He said "don't worry she is not my woman".
Pastor, I would take the trip and go to Florida to check this out myself but because of COVID-19, I don't want to travel. What do you think I should do? I am awaiting your response.
M.
Dear M.,
I hope your husband would come clean and tell you the truth. If he is having an affair, he should tell you because it is likely that you would eventually find out. Your sister has seen him with this woman and she was not behaving like a niece. But then again your sister could be wrong. You should tell your husband that you would like to visit him and although you may have to undergo the 14 days quarantine, you would be prepared to do so.
If indeed he has another woman in the USA, he might as well beg your pardon and both of you agree to end the long-distance relationship. Anything can happen when people are involved in long-distance relationships. Such relationships are very difficult to deal with. So don't call your husband a liar. Try to ascertain the truth then seek solutions.
Pastor
