Embarrassed after my one-night stand

Dear Pastor,

I went out with this young man two years ago. I asked him all the question I had written in my notebook. There was no question that guy hesitated to answer. We had a wonderful time.

We had a sumptuous dinner. During dinner we had wine and we stayed much longer than we had planned. Finally, my date asked me if I had to go back home for the night and I told him no, so we booked a room at the hotel. The rest is history.

Several days passed and I did not hear a word from this man, and I kept wondering why I gave my all to him. Did he tell me too much? Was I too easy? Was he not pleased with the sex?

I called him and he told me he would call me back, but it took him a long time to return the call. When he called back he did not have much to say. I love him but I don't now what to do. Should I ask him for another date? He told me that we could go out again, but he has not initiated it.

I have dated another fellow since, but he doesnt excite me as much the other guy. So Pastor, where did I go wrong?

Let me see if I can help you. I would say to you that the next time you are going on a date, don't walk with this long list of questions to ask a man. It is good to have questions in your mind because you want to know about the fellow. This guy allowed you to play into his hands. He answered all your questions, but you don't know for sure whether he was truthful in his answers. You did not give the relationship enough time to find out whether he has spoken the truth. You allowed the wine to get to your head and down to your waist. You were probably intoxicated.

After you had dinner, you should have gone home but you decided to spend the night with his man, and you had sex with him. Now, I am sure you are looking back and saying that was not a wise thing at all.

The man got what he wanted from you. He may come back when he needs more, but there is nothing you can do to push him. Don't even waste your time calling him.
