Boyfriend refused to have sex with me

Dear Pastor,

I am 19 years old and my boyfriend is 21 years old. We have been friends for a year. He is still living at home and I can't get to see him the way I would like to because he is a supervisor at the supermarket where he works. His parents like me and I can go to their home any time. One morning I went there and it got late so I could not go home. His mother told me that I could stay at the house. I was glad. I slept in his room on his bed with him and I expected the both of us to have a good time together; but nothing happened. The house is a board house and he was afraid that his parents would hear us if we did anything. I told him that I would never come back to his yard. If I did not feel him, I would think that he was impotent and I know he is not a Christian, so what do you think is the problem?

Dear G.B.,

Your boyfriend told you why he did not have sex with you. He said he was afraid that his parents would hear the both of you. How is it that you can't understand that? The young man has respect for his parents so you should try to understand why he behaved himself. This guy and you may have lots of time in the future so don't rush him.
