Dancehall artiste Radijah has accused selector Foota Hype of discriminating against him by refusing to play his songs because the unusual tattoo over his left eye conflicts with Foota Hype's new 'religious beliefs'.

According to the Walk Like A Dog artiste, Foota Hype has likened his tattoo to the Freemasons symbol.

"Mi go to Foota Hype with me song, Nutten Likkle, but him say the song alright, but him a God-man now, and him don't support things like what me do with the Freemason tattoo on mi face. Him say how it woulda look to people who respect him fi know that him say righteousness and a play artiste with Freemason tattoo on dem face?," Radijah explained.

Radijah added that his tattoo is a symbol of his creative side, and that while Foota Hype is discriminating against him, he is promoting other artistes who portray a similar image.

"Foota need to know that that is an off-key move. What next him a go tell mi? How fi dress? Him a fashion police? My tattoo is art and I am an artiste, this is how I choose to express myself. Foota Hype have it wrong, I love to be creative," Radijah said.

However, when contacted Foota Hype told THE STAR that while he is neither Christian nor Roman Catholic, he upholds certain standards.

"Radijah nuh know my history. My religion is not 'new found', my religion is black and God Almighty. I am not a Christian, but I believe there is a creator and He is the superior one. Me work off my beliefs. Mi nah fight a man career. Me and God good right now and mi nuh want endorse certain things fi me and God have a problem," Foota said.

As it relates to endorsing artistes who portray a similar image, Foota Hype vehemently denied this claim.

"Some Alkaline songs and some Kartel songs I don't play. The artiste with the horn on his head called Furtyle Brain and the other artiste that polished his nails (G-Star), me nuh play neither. Certain songs wid certain content, mi nuh play, that's just me," Foota stated.

He added that this stance was not about money and he also recommended that Radijah change his tattoo.

"Mi never tell him say I would never work with him ever, me just a say him need fi change it up. Mi nuh have nutten against him. A just so my ting go. Mi a work offa my beliefs. Mi nah promote certain artiste weh a portray certain things," Foota said.
