Garlin, Lyons surprised at Bacchanal Fridays
The first handover in the Caribbean of the all-new Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone took place at Bacchanal Fridays' Digicel Night.
It featured soca's power couple, Fay-Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlin, being interrupted on stage during their electrifying performance by Digicel's Sponsorship Manager Kamal Powell, who made the surprise handover to both artistes.
One lucky patron was the third recipient. Malcolm Eleweanya was the first Jamaican to own the much-desired device after purchasing Digicel credit earlier at the event.
All three were overjoyed at being named among the Caribbean's first S7 owners. Lyons and Garlin expressed their thankfulness in song; Eleweanya was sheer delight in words. Still stunned by the awesome gift, Eleweanya said, "I'm elated. I was not expecting this at all. Thanks, Digicel!"
"A feature-packed night like this could not have ended without handing over the world's latest feature-packed smartphone from Samsung. We are delighted to have our loyal customers share in the evolution of Samsung technology with the S7," said Powell.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is set to be launched on April 1 and will be available at major Digicel stores across the country.
