Patrons enjoyed a full day of fun and relaxation at Hope Gardens, St Andrew, courtesy of Tastee and Tropicana last Sunday.

From as early as 10 a.m., patrons started streaming into the venue as the Tastee/Tropicana Family Fiesta got under way.

With one adult and two children being granted access on a ticket, the event, expected, pulled a large crowd. It was massive. Scores of patrons filled the lawns, soaking up the sun, food and entertainment.

Triple X and comedian Dufton Shepherd were the event's emcees. They kept everyone thoroughly entertained, interacting with the audience and inviting people on stage to participate in various activities for prizes.

Child singers Xylophone and Zion were the first entertainers to hit the stage. Both wowed and were greeted with warm responses.

The 2016 Dancin' Dynamites winners, Overload Skankaz, also entertained. As usual, the group impressed with well-choreographed routines and a few acrobatic moves.

Mixing Lab also impressed with his beat-boxing abilities.

The standout performer, however was Wizard. The well-known magician had the audience totally captivated as he performed eye-popping tricks.

Utilising everything from phones, to doves, and eggs, the magician delivered a great set.

He made doves appear from thin air, made a whole jug of milk evaporate when he poured it into a newspaper and even made a little boy cough up an egg. He received a resounding round of applause.

Aside from the entertainment, there were lots to do on the grounds. With 14 rides (waterslide, dunk tank, jungle zip line etc.), children and parents were kept busy.

Re-fuelling after trying out the rides was not a problem as there were many food stalls. All in all, the Tastee/Tropicana Family Fiesta was a great, fun filled family event.
