Wellness with music in Negril

The Tmrw.Tday Culture Festival offered a weeklong excursion to Negril, Westmoreland, where patrons engaged in activities geared towards health and wellness against the backdrop of reggae music. The event invited the presence of persons like international wellness ambassador and super foods evangelist David 'Avocado' Wolfe and the founder of Irie Soul, Stacy Chang-Christoforou,

The festival began last Wednesday and ends tomorrow.

During several; days chock-full of activities like yoga sessions and running marathons, Saturday's Reggae Revival Concert and Beach Party was the highlight event of the Tmrw.Tday Culture Festival. The concert was curated by Jamaica's Protoje who, in his career, has developed the reputation for only performing on the island once a year. Those annual appearances were organised by the artiste himself. However, this year, Protoje seems to have changed his decision and has already performed in Jamaica twice.

"I just always been very picky with the shows that I do, but some people putting on some nice shows that I would be a part of," Protoje told The Gleaner. As the name suggests, the Reggae Revival Concert and Beach Party was headlined by the performances of some of Jamaica's contemporary artistes affiliated with the Reggae Revival.

"Tmrw.Tday is just doing their thing. They just called me and asked me to put together a Saturday night for them. The Tmrw.Tday team is doing a great thing for the country, and for the music. I'm just glad to play my part," Protoje continued.

Held at The Boardwalk Village, the concert showcased the works of Protoje and the Indiggnation band, Sevana, Runkus and the OldSkl Bond, interspersed with selections from the official Reggae Revival Resident disc-jockey, Yaadcore.
