6-year-old boy becomes the world's youngest club DJ
Itsuki Morita, a 6-year-old boy from Japan, has been officially named the world’s youngest DJ by the Guinness World Records.
According to Guinness World Records, Itsuki became the world’s Youngest club DJ after playing an hour set at a restaurant and bar in Osaka, Japan last week.
He played a number of tracks using professional Pioneer XDJ AERO decks in front of a crowd of adults and children.
He told Guinness World Records, “I saw people DJing and thought it looks fun.” He was first introduced to the art by his mother’s friend.
He said he likes to play a mixture of disco and rock music, and that Avicii is his favourite DJ.
When asked how it feels to be a Guinness World Records holder, the six-year-old said, “The happiest time! I was really happy that I could DJ. Everyone says it’s great.”
