Weh Dem Up to: Laden's 'Moment' coming back

Dancehall artiste Laden has not been in the spotlight for quite some time, but with a new song currently getting some airplay, the entertainer believes his time to shine is once more fast approaching.

THE WEEKEND STAR caught up with the singer who revealed that although people aren't hearing much about him in recent times, he's still very much involved in music and has been putting in the work needed to ensure things are very different come 2018.

His new song Moments, released last Saturday, is very promising, and the entertainer believes it may be the song that reintroduces him as a force to be reckoned with in music.

"The song is about the struggles that I have been facing, yet I'm still working towards what I really deserve," he explained. "Knowing that it (getting to the top again) takes some time and I have to wait on that moment is what the song is saying."

The song was produced by the Grammy-nominated producer Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor and Laden said "that comes with a lot of magic. He's the best to me personally, and I believe Moments is one of those songs that is going to do well."

Laden told THE WEEKEND STAR that he doesn't believe he dropped the ball as it relates to his career, pointing out that he has not been creating the buzz he knows he's capable of because of how the music industry is set up.

"I've been doing a lot of recording, trying to get some solid songs out there on all these charts. I have three new videos out now on my Vevo channel, but how well they do is up to the peeps that are playing the music," he expressed. "My music is distributed by the companies that release most of the artistes' music that you hearing around everywhere; Zojak Worldwide, Hapilos, J Wonder. I just have to do more to make sure they play my music and by the help of the almighty, they will."

The songs the entertainer is currently promoting are Good Times, On The Go and Your Trendy.
