‘Shen Heng?’ Jada Kingdom fires shots at Shenseea - Selector Badda Bling warns artistes to keep catfight lyrical

November 05, 2019

Though there is a history of conflict between artistes Jada Kingdom and Shenseea, that lyrical battle did not manifest at the Red Bull Culture Clash over the weekend. The two females were representing for competing teams – Team Strike Force and Team Romeich Entertainment.

Shenseea took the first jab at the clash, using her yrical guns to hit at the Banana singjay’s career stating, “Jada betta yuh lef di music, try tun ah actress… Yuh lame.

That diss, however, went unanswered.

According to a representative from Kingdom’s camp, neither she nor the rest of the Team Strike Force could hear some of the ‘disses’ clearly because of the level of noise inside the National Arena.

“We are happy the artiste did not hear what Shenseea said on the night, because that would have evolved into a Jada Kingdom versus Shenseea clash, not a culture clash,” the representative said.

Lyrical catfight

But after reviewing videos and the responses on social media, it obviously pinched Kingdom’s nerves, as she fired back at Shenseea yesterday.

Yuh is a big coward groupie, everybody know seh mi unruly. True mi silent them nuh know ah who mi, yuh likkle lame freestyle never move mi... the only thing rough bout yuh is yuh gunman voice …” Jada croons on a catchy rhythm in a two-minute diss track titled Shen Heng.

The track continued with her saying, “ One day yuh must get one outta mi banana clip, and if yuh try run yuh get a banana slip. Chat ‘cause she up like banana chips, mi see she yuh is a fan of mi Banana hit.”

The artwork also showed the Romeich Entertainment artiste hanging from a tree.

Selector Badda Bling, who was part of Team Romeich Entertainment, explained that it is normal for sound clashes to create a chain reaction.

“As an artiste, one may continue the clash through lyrics if he or she wants to get things off them chest, but at the end of the day each person has to understand clashing is clashing. In competitions persons go all out to win using whatever means, clashes are usually cut-throat,” Badda Bling told THE STAR.

He went on to say that Jada’s diss track, aimed at Shenseea, cannot be judged as wrong or right as it was simply a retaliation from what was said about her at the clash.

“I love competition, but don’t let it get physical. Two of the biggest rivals was Beenie Man and Bounty Killer and I don’t recall them actually fighting. It is now up to Shenseea if she wants to answer. Although things will be said in clashes that individuals can take it personal or can cause any trouble, but if you are a person that can’t take a little friendly fire, I would say don’t enter,” he said.
