The militancy of 'Poor People's Governor' Bounty Killer and the force of deejay Sample King are expertly balanced with the smooth sounds of Wayne Marshall as the trio explores themes of social justice in the single Weh Yuh Want Wi Fi Do.

Produced by Trevor 'Baby G' James, it is a song that the producer, who learned the business from his legendary father, King Jammys, believes has the markings of a classic.

"Sample King had recorded the song on another riddim, but his team wanted a sturdier beat with some melody. I did that and fly back Sample's voice on it, and it was magic," a satisfied Baby G told THE STAR.

When Sample King's team suggested another voice, naturally, for a song that was asking tough questions of the politicians, while championing the rights of the poor, there was only one artiste to call.

"Bounty is the real Poor People Governor and a message like this for the youth is right up his alley," Sample King said, adding that Wayne Marshall being on the track gave it even more authenticity.

According to Baby G: "I made Marshall [Wayne] listen to it, and he liked the different kind of energy on the track, so he came on board. Bounty came to the studio, vibed the verses, and in one take, he did his part. As the third son of King Jammys who is representing my father's legacy, I am proud of a song like this."

A gritty track, Weh Yuh Want Wi Fi Do is steeped in biting social commentary, coupled with potent word play and rough humour.

" Macaroni run di country/ yow a bare antics/some of dem fi turn comedian and low politics," Bounty throws out, adding, " mi nah pick nuh side/a both party me a talk/yuh won't tek heed/mi own party me a stalk."

The single dropped just before the general election, and the music video is also out and enjoying positive feedback from fans.
