Recording artiste A'mari DJ Mona-Lisa has expressed a willingness to use whatever resources she has to help her former beau Gully Bop, who she has heard is ailing.

"I reached out several times because I really want to help him, but for whatever reasons he has maintained his distance," she said.

The recording artiste-turned-social media personality said that she is aware of the criticisms of her, including that she is crazy. But she also explained that she is "still a human with genuine care for persons that have made an impact on my life".

"I do worry about him, the real Gully Bop that the world has yet to know. We had a greater bond than me and Collin [her former boyfriend who recently passed away] because of the both of us being musicians and he motivated me to pursue my dreams. It has led me to where I am today. I'm a mother and a grandmother. I welcomed another grandchild, Omarion, named after me -- just one month old -- and I'm a public figure and budding entrepreneur. I will make it," A'mari said.

Gully Bop rose to fame after a video of him freestyling went viral. By 2015, he had secured work permits for the US, UK and several Caribbean islands. He then proved to be quite the ladies' man, and A'mari was among his companions. However, despite promising much, the relationship ended in 2016.
